Elton John is in the midst of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour

It was in a tearful message that Elton John announced the cancellation of his New Zealand shows due to illness. The pop star revealed to his fans that he is suffering from “walking pneumonia”.

At 72 years old, Elton John has undergo the tough task of doing a world tour. However, while performing at Mount Smart Stadium, the British singer was struggling to finish his performance.

After being checked by a doctor, he tried to perform two more songs before putting a halt to the show.

Walking pneumonia is an illness that causes mild infections of the respiratory system. Its symptoms include tiredness, fever and sore throat.

Elton John's “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” world tour began in 2018 and it is scheduled to end in late 2020 in London. Hopefully, the British superstar will get better to complete his final performances.
