Several prized items will be on display

Throughout the years, Michael Jackson had one of the most prolific music careers. On top of being a singer, songwriter and producer, the King of Pop was also an avid art collector.

Years after his passing, several of his most prized items are set to go under the hammer at the Guernsey’s auction house.

Titled the “Treasures Once Owned by Michael Jackson”, the auction will allow fans and art enthusiasts to own several items including candelabras, malachite and bronze sculptures. Furthermore, the Jackson 5’s first contract with Steeltown Records, signed by Joseph Jackson, will be up for sale. This historic document is expected to fetch between US$50,000 and US$100,000.

The Michael Jackson sale also includes a bronze statue of Peter Pan and a wooden model of Captain Hook’s ship which was gifted to the artist by actress Elizabeth Taylor.
